I am a 22-year-old wildlife enthusiast, Zoology M.Sci graduate, and I work for the RSPB as Assistant Farm Manager at Hope Farm. From a very young age I have enjoyed spending hours feeding my curiosities in nature, in writing, and enjoying the British countryside. I have grown up in more recent years – or maybe not – to develop a passion for Science communication and sustainable agriculture.
My volunteering experience:
- Nightjar conservation
- Ringing of: migratory birds on the coast, Tawny owlets, small passerine birds and Woodcock.
- Traveled to Madagascar, working with Operation Wallacea to help gain protection for the forests that are being destroyed.
- Wildlife blogging, writing about a range of issues from the controversial topic of the badger cull right up to day-to-day of our local furry residents
- Science Editor of the University of Nottingham’s magazine, Impact.
